I will be launching an exciting new segment of the blog tomorrow, which I will call Random Spotlight. The premise of this segment is to take a random website (found by using www.randomwebsite.com) and evaluate, strategize and appraise the site using certain website flipping metrics.

Now I don’t want to be lecturer I would rather a conversation to share opinions, advice and strategies in analysing and improving the random website. And I take this opportunity to disclaim that I know everything about the industry and that my claims are exact. The results are merely a result of my opinion, which I came to from my personal experience, logic and research.

The six metrics that I will assess are:

  1. First impression of the site
  2. Some important statistics of the site
  3. The distinguishable features of the site
  4. An estimated value of the website
  5. My summation of the site
  6. How I would enhance the site if I was flipping it

I hope this can be an enjoyable exercise and an introduction for the uninitiated into the exciting world of website flipping. I will post my first spotlight tomorrow.

Cool, great idea with the random spotlight. This will be a great feature of the blog. Looking forward to seeing the reviews you do.

Will people be able to submit to you their own sites for review?

Id prefer to be random but if seems like a legitimate review then I wouldnt say no. If it looks like a free way to get traffic then I would have to decline.
